Nicolas Mathieu was born in 1978 in Epinal. He studied history and cinema, later moved to Paris, where he tried himself in many professions. "Leurs enfants après eux" ("Their Children") is the second novel by the writer (2018). He received several literary awards, in particular, Goncourt Prize.
