Maryana Budzheryn

Doctor of Political Science, Senior Research Fellow at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at the Harvard Kennedy School. In 2024, she received the William Colby Prize in Military History for her book The Bomb as a Legacy, becoming the first woman to win the award in its 25-year history. The scholar researches issues of nuclear (non)proliferation regimes, arms control, nuclear deterrence and escalation, and the manipulation of nuclear risks in conventional conflicts.
