Kristijan Lepešić is the director of IDEMO – Institute for Democracy, a Croatian NGO focused on education, human rights, and the rule of law. He is a lead author of the regional initiative and strategic plan for educating refugees and internally displaced persons in the Lake Chad Basin in Africa. A longtime external associate of the Simon Wiesenthal Center and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, he works at the intersection of civic education, research on war crimes, memory, and democratic institutions.
