Anatoly Dnistrovsky was born on July 30, 1974 in the city of Ternopil. Son of the poet and literary critic, professor, doctor of philology Alexander Astafyev. Founder and member of the Friends of Eliot Literary Group (1993-1996). Member of the Association of Ukrainian Writers. Member of the Ukrainian Center for International PEN Club.
