Evgenia Kononenko is a Ukrainian prose writer, translator and essayist, who writes in Ukrainian. E. Kononenko has received several national awards. She was the winner of a Ukrainian national radio-play competition under the auspices of the National radio company of Ukraine and prize- winner of the Ukrainian national short story competition From Kyiv with love etc. E. Kononenko participates in international writers’ gatherings in the USA, Poland, Finland, France, Czech Republic, etc.
