Oksana Zabuzhko (b.1960) authors over twenty books (poetry, fiction, non-fiction), and is internationally known with her novels Field Work in Ukrainian Sex (1996), and The Museum of Abandoned Secrets (2010). Her books have been translated into twenty four languages, and won her many national and international awards (Angelus Central European Literary Prize, Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine, the French National Order of the Legion of Honor et al.). Her recent work, The Longest Journey (2022), a book-long essay on the historical background of the current Russo-Ukrainian war, won in Ukraine The Book of the Year, and has been translated into ten languages.
