Zenon Brovar's Diary: Ostap Ukrainets and the Alchemy of Baroque Cuisine

A lot of Ukrainian literature is based on kitchen matters. We love to cook, treat others and eat; we are used to expressing love through food. Baroque, which tends to seek deep connections between the smallest things, allows us to see the higher Truth and God's Love even in a piece of bread with butter. Philosophy and theology, physics and ethics are present in every dish as fully as they are in the macrocosm, in the whole wide world. It is precisely these infinitely great and holy things that we will talk about at the meeting.
