2024 Activity Report of NGO Forum Vydavtsiv

NGO Forum Vydavtsiv sums up 2024 — a year that once again tested the resilience of culture amid war, and proved its enduring strength. The public report gathers the results of all our initiatives, events, and partnerships over the past year.
Despite all challenges, 2024 was a year of productive work for the NGO Forum Vydavtsiv. We successfully implemented a number of important and timely initiatives, including:
Discussion clubs in frontline cities — a series of in-depth conversations in Sumy, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipro, focusing on cultural resilience, memory, decolonization, and the role of culture during wartime.
The “Reading Room” project in Points of Invincibility — more than 160 reading spaces were established across 5 regions of Ukraine, becoming cultural support centers for local communities.
The Roman Ratushnyi Memorial Festival “Protasiv Yar” — a multidisciplinary platform for dialogue on memory culture, ecology, human rights, and civil society.
Lviv BookForum 2024 — 144 events featuring authors from 18 countries, a rich international program, live-streamed sessions, and partnerships with global literary festivals.
The Ukrainian-Jewish Literary Prize “Encounter”, which continues to support new works that build bridges of understanding.
In the face of ongoing challenges, our team remains committed to the essential mission — ensuring cultural resilience, fostering cooperation, and maintaining a lasting literary presence in Ukraine’s public life.
