Mariana Matveichuk

Mariana Matveichuk is a freelance journalist who, with the onset of the full-scale invasion, worked as a freelance producer for several international media outlets. Throughout 2024, she wrote several memorial texts for the PEN Ukraine project and The Ukrainians media titled "People of Culture Taken by War." From July 2024 to June 2025, she served as a correspondent for BBC Ukraine. Previously, from 2019 to 2022, she was a journalist for the Ukrainian media outlet Hmarochos, covering urban policy, design, and planning. With a background in Cultural Studies, she worked as a theatre researcher at the Les Kurbas National Centre for Theatre Arts from 2011 to 2019.
