Hlib Bitiukov


Military medic, volunteer, public activist, and author of the book “To My Daughter. Dad’s Notes from the War”. Worked on the ambulance and intensive care unit in Kyiv, studied medicine in the USA and Europe, and was an advisor to the Minister of Health. He was wounded but returned to the front line to serve in the Ukrainian army, finding a way to share his feelings and values with his daughter and the world through an essay. Later, having received a disability, he retired from the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, continuing the transformation of the healthcare system.
