The poetry of these women is special, because the authors themselves are special. The original, vivid poetic writing of the Ukrainian poet and playwright Lyubov Yakymchuk and the Croatian writer Ola Savyčević-Ivančević fascinates, makes you think, feels the music of the poems and their unique taste.

The Ukrainian reader has already had the opportunity to get acquainted with the poems of Ola Savyčević-Ivančević in the anthology “When Letters Move to Your Face”, but her prose remains almost unknown to us. This event will provide an opportunity to hear the voice of the writer, who fills prose with poetry and music. During the literary meeting, the novel “The One Who Sings at Night”, where the author transformed her poetry into prose, will also be presented. Lyubov Yakymchuk, in turn, will tell how she turned her poems from the book “Apricots of Donbas” and from the cycle “I Have a Crisis for You” into the drama “The Wall” for the Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theater.

We will listen to the poetry of Lyubov Yakymchuk and Olya Savychevych-Ivanchevych — we will listen to real poetry.
