Vladimir Arsenijevic (Serbia)and Lyubko Deresh (Ukraine)

Serbian novelist Vladimir Arsenijević and Ukrainian novelist Ljubko Deresh quickly burst into literature, conquering the literary Olympus with their first novels. Deresh's novel "Cult" became a cult, and Arsenijević's novel "In the Hold" brought him the most important Serbian literary award. Andriy Ljubka's translation made it possible for Ukrainian readers to get acquainted with the most famous work of the Serbian novelist, whose creative output includes many more novels.

Although the creative style of these writers is different, they are united by a keen eye for today's problems, the ability to pose questions to the reader, the answer to which will not be easy, intellectualism that never turns into a sermon, and deep emotionality. This event will be an opportunity to listen to one of the most original Ukrainian novelists and get to know better the work of a talented Serbian writer and friend of Ukraine.
