To speak, to be silent, to speak up again. In memoriam of our beloved ones
How does one speak about the loss? This question may be asked in a country surviving the war since 2014, a country in which more and more families are experiencing the loss of their loved ones. This topic could be seen as problematic even without any war context. Ukrainian society has a long history of silencing traumas and losses. This is the fruit of Soviet repressions. It causes empty spaces of things one never speaks. This emptiness doesn’t help to build a memory. Are we ready to learn how to remember and how to speak about the loss?
