Decolonization vs. Captivity of Postcolonial Trauma: How It Works in Fantasy

Modern war imposes a new traumatic optics even on texts that are far from reality. Understanding the colonial experience in literature evokes painful associations with the present. Is it possible now to write about the times when Ukrainian lands were part of the Russian Empire? What approaches does this aspiration require? How not to get confused between postcolonial and decolonial views, and what does world practice say about this? We will talk about this and other things during the discussion, using the example of the novel "Lazarus".
